Superfood Strawberry Shake

This creamy strawberry shake is a delicious way to start your morning.

The strawberries pack vitamin C & antioxidants, the banana adds potassium and fiber, maca powder will give you energy and help to balance hormones and bee pollen, when locally sourced, can help alleviate seasonal allergies.

Note: If you've never had bee pollen before, try one or two morsels first to make sure you're not allergic and work your way up to 1 teaspoon. I'm making it sound way scarier than it actually is... I have pollen allergies and it works wonders for me.

Makes: 2 servings

What You'll Need:

  • 2 cups unsweetened non-dairy milk OR 1 cup coconut yogurt + 1 cup filtered water

  • 2 cups frozen organic strawberries

  • 2 frozen bananas

  • 1 scoop raw sprouted vanilla protein powder (I love Warrior Blend Vanilla by Sun Warrior)

  • 2 Tbsp chia seeds

  • 2 Tbsp raw almond butter

  • 2 tsp maca powder

  • 2 tsp locally-sourced bee pollen (optional if you eat bee products)

  • 2 Tbsp + 2 tsp unsweetened shredded coconut flakes

To Make:

Combine almond milk, frozen strawberries, banana, almond butter, protein powder, chia seeds, 2 Tbsp coconut flakes & maca powder in a high speed blender and blend until smooth. Pour into two glasses and top each with 1 teaspoon of bee pollen and 1 teaspoon of unsweetened shredded coconut flakes.
